Draw an object from multiple angles

Observational drawing is the basis of all art. If you can draw well, that will help you be a great painter and sculpture as well. Just like any other skill, to get better at drawing you will need to practice, practice, practice.

Pick any object around your house and draw it from multiple angles. As you're drawing, really "look" at what you're drawing. Notice all of the details you normally don't. What type of lines and shapes are used to make the object? Do you see round lines, diagonals, squiggles? Don't worry too much about your finished drawing, just practice looking and drawing what you see. The more you do this the better you will be!
