For this activity, you will design and color a whimsical house illustration. Below is a gallery of simple house illustrations, you may look through to find inspiration or pull up your own house on google street view to draw.

First draw the illustration in pencil.

Then once you are ready to color it you can color it with crayon, colored pencil or makers. Or you can color it by using marker and water to create a soft watercolor look. The examples below used this technique and I have included a video tutorial on how to blend markers with water.
