Create an origami paper crane

Watch the following video to learn how to make an origami heart.

You can make any size as long as you start with a square piece of paper. I recommend going slow, watching the video on half speed and pausing often as to not get frustrated.

An ancient Japanese legend promises that anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish. A thousand paper cranes are often given to a person who is seriously ill, to wish for their recovery. They are usually created by friends or colleagues as a collective effort. Another common use is for sports teams or athletes, wishing them victories.

As you learn to fold a paper crane, spend this time in prayer to the Lord. We know that we are not in control of sickness and health, but we do know the one that is! Spend time praying to God for healing and strength for those with covid19.

What you'll need:

paper, scissors (if paper is not square)
