Travel to where Van Gogh painted
Vincent Van Gogh was a very prolific painter in his short lifetime (he painted a lot). Even though it has been over 100 years and two world wars since he painted, several of the locations he sketched and painted from look similar today.

The Google earth site has the name of a Van Gogh painting he created at each location. Write these down on a piece of paper. Go to the painting site and see if you can match the painting with it's location and title. Click on the painting, there is a letter code for each. After you think you've matched them check your answers.

If you can get a family member and another computer, try pulling up the Google earth site on one and the paintings on another. This will help you play the matching game as you explore. If not, you can look up the answers first and then see what similarities and differences you see (remember at lot of time has past!).
What you'll need:
On your own - Computer, paper, pencil

Matching game - family member and a second device.
Take yourself back 100 years and imagine what it would be like to paint scenes like Van Gogh!
